I'm a big fan of Windows+L to for locking the keyboard. Ctrl+N generally creates a new something -- e-mail, task, Word document -- depending on what app you're currently running (or, in the case of Outlook, if you're viewing your calendar, inbox, etc). In Excel, I love Ctrl+; and Ctrl+: (or Ctrl+Shift+;) to automatically insert the current date and current time, respectivelly, into a cell. And then there's always the old standbys, Ctrl+B, Ctrl+I, and Ctrl+U for bolding, italicizing, and underlining in most MS apps. Web Host Guides
