I like it, nice one. I have tweaked my machine quite a bit to relieve ram for my audio software and was always curious as to what was inside these little bleeders!

I do, however, see the logic in the svchost process now. They seem to contain multiple processes - to list them all in task manager would make it tricky to see the things you do actually want to disable. That in mind, Windows should still provide an easier way to look inside them!

Thanks for this.

Good information - I have an Acer notebook computer. When ever the computer is running slow I have to hit Ctrl+Alt+Del to go into the task manager and stop an Acer task manager program that is using like 99% of CPU. Once I do this the computer runs fine.

Interesting.
Fixing my friends' PC, he is on Windows, checked his tasks - really he has 40% CPU usage and way too much RAM allocated to these svhosts..

Let me dig in now..

Thanks man! Just killed a dozen of services (actually only used msconfig - took a risk :) ).

Seems to work faster now, but who knows, there is so much more Windows do not "just show"..
