		<description>@Awnings,

That depends on what problem you are trying to solve. If you have a set of nodes that message pass data to each other with possibly transformation and/or using multiple protocols, I would recommend using something like Spring Integration or Apache Camel.

		<description>@carrie,

They are both very good, and very different, so you&#039;ll get extensive bulk of knowledge from both. However, lately I find Google and Wikipedia more informative and up to date :)

<description>Is &quot;Design Patterns&quot; better than &quot;Code Complete: A Practical Handbook of Software Construction&quot;? Those two are the ones that my teacher suggested we get as a supplementary for his class.

TIA.</description>

		<description>@Maria,

Yes, the book is &lt;a href=&quot;http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Design_Patterns_(book)&quot;&gt;Design Patterns&lt;/a&gt; by Erich Gamma, Richard Helm, Ralph Johnson and John Vlissides with a foreword by Grady Booch.

In fact now days they ( authors ) have been thinking on a rewrite, since with the Web X.0 shift: SOA, Mobile, Social, etc.., lots of new patterns have emerged, leaving some of the patterns from the book obsolete [ e.g. especially for functional languages ].

<description>I see you&#039;re referencing the book &quot;Gang of Four&quot;. I&#039;ve been searching for it on Amazon but am not sure I found the right one. Is it the one by Erich Gamma, Richard Helm, Ralph Johnson and John M. Vlissides ?

Regards,
