Floola is a freeware application to efficiently manage your iPod or your Motorola mobile phone (any model supporting iTunes). It’s a standalone application that can be run directly from your iPod and needs no installation under Linux, Mac OS X and Windows (Windows Vista is supported).
Step 1. Get it from:

Step 2. Before running make sure to install c++ standard library:
sudo apt-get install libstdc++5

I’ve used Banshee, gtkpod, Rhythmbox, and tried various commands in bash to manually connect, edit, transfer, and make my ipod shuffle (3rd gen) usable. I’ve also fiddled with WinFF and ffmpeg for conversions. Floola works wonderfully, and the interface is excellently wrought. Thank you very much!
